Well, printing went well yesterday.

Well, printing went well yesterday. I didn’t get as much done as I would have liked but its enough so that I’ll be able to finish fairly quickly in the next day or so. The film I shot turned out well with the notable exception of my video game series which was mysteriously underexposed. I’ve already printed a few of them and I can compensate for the bad negatives with a little darkroom trickery and a whole lot of skill (aka: luck). Today I don’t have much to do actually. I have a quiz on Monday that I should study for and a script for a comic book that I need to be writing, but other than that I think I might just do some laundry and watch the hockey playoffs on ESPN. I should also wonder around the mall and see if there’s anything I can get to augment the other gift I already have for Lauren for our aniversay. Which by the way, is Tuesday. That’s about it.

Cheers.

Lots going on at the

Lots going on at the moment. Today I printed some stuff from my shoot last weekend. They turned out well. 1 down, 9 to go. Speaking of those 9, they’ll be shot tomorrow, developed by Saturday and hopefully printed before Tuesday. Tuesday is our two year aniversary, Lauren and I, so I’d obviously like to get those done before then so I can spend the evening out with my girl. Tomorrow, I’ve got a make up class from 9 till 11:30ish, after that I’ll head upstairs to the Studio and setup for shooting the rest of the afternoon. I’m going to be shooting a series of 5 video game consoles (well, 4 and an ibook if Nagle’s still ok with me borrowing it) and then 4 portraits. Pete, Lauren, Nagle and myself will be the portraits and then (if I can still borrow them) I’ll get closeup product-shots of a PS, N64, GameCube, Dreamcast and iBook. The iBook isn’t my first choice obviously, but NO ONE around here has anything other than what I already have, or nothing at all. And no, I don’t plan on buying a PS2 simply to take a picture of it. Although, renting one my not be a bad idea… hmmm. Nah. Tomorrow we also sign the lease on our new place. We’ve worked out a deal with the complex to shut off everything (power, water, etc) for the summer so that we’re just paying rent. That way we won’t have to pay to keep the apartment air conditioned while there’s no one there. That’s about it.

This is sort of a

This is sort of a random computer question for “da boys.” Lets say that I do indeed get the nForce board, would the built in GF2 work “automaticaly” and/or what would happen if I put in the video card I have now? Would it get confused and use one instead of the other? Would it use the add-in card as extra? Would I in a sense have a “duel Geforce 2” or one I have to pick one? These are things that non of the reviews I’ve read seem to be addressing. Any ideas? I just don’t want the short end of the video card/Mobo stick. I’ve had plenty of Mobo/Gfx card problems before (*cough* TNT2 and Asus *cough*)

Well, things have gotten slightly

Well, things have gotten slightly more complicated. After talking with Royal Oaks it seems that we were required to give them 60 days notice before terminating our lease. I found that a bit odd. I was under the assumption that when you don’t say that you’ll be resigning a lease that they would take that as sort of a hint. So, this puts us in a pickle. 60 days from now is June 16th. We won’t be here in June. This is bad. Our options at this point basically boil down to us having to pay for 16 extra days in June when we really shouldn’t have to. But, all that is going to happen no matter what we do, we have to pay for that, there’s no way out of it. So, it’s best to deal with it and move on. So, now we turn our attention to finding some place else. We have. A nice “split two bedroom” at Magnolia Villa (what cheesy names these places have). This is where it gets complicated. If we move in now (or relatively soon) we’re in time to catch their “special” which is $99 to move in, no security deposit or non-refundable deposit, that sort of thing. That’s for April, in May we’d start playing regular rent and so on from there. If we waited until May or June, we’d have to pay a $250 security deposit and a $100 non-refundable deposit, plus May’s rent. So, clearly, the better deal is to get it now. But what about Royal Oaks, we’re still responsible for those 60 days and hense, have to pay for those 60 days. So, either we pay May’s rent twice and $99 now, or we pay May’s rent twice and $350 later. What a shitty situation. I’ve got to get a hold of my parents tonight and see what they think. Rent at the new place is slightly higher, but there’s less utilities, so I guess it works out. Damn, this is a pain in the ass.
