I’ll make this quick because I’ve got to get in the shower in a minute. Yesterday I spent all day with Lauren. We went to the grocery store, we had lunch, we went ran some errands and for dinner we had some friends over. Afterwards we played Scatagories and then went and saw Catch Me If You Can. Now, from what I saw durring the trailer for that movie, I thought I was being dragged to one of the worst movies imaginable. The combonation of DiCaprio and Speilburg was ebough to put me off but to then throw in a completely BS plot made me want to even avoid this one on video. Then I started hearing rummors about how good it was. Usually it confuses the heck out of me to hear that the public likes a crappy movie but this usually results in my renting of it when it comes out on video, usually to simply “see what everyone was talking about” kind of thing. So, with that in mind I was reluctant to go but since I wasn’t really doing anything else and Lauren assured me it was good, so I went. I was pleasently surprised. It was one of the better movies I’ve seen in a while. The story didn’t completely suck, I didn’t want to beat DiCaprio to a bloody pulp every 10 minutes and Tom Hanks fake NYC accent made me laugh whenever he tried to use it. It was VERY well done production wise, great cinamatography etc. I’ll talk more about it later but on a scale of 1-10, its probably a 7.5 or 8. Go see it if you’re bored, it’s not as bad as you think.
Anyway, the reason I’m rushing around is because Lauren, Sara and I are going to Hilton Head SC this afternoon. I’ve got to get in the shower so we can leave. Later.

In the last few years I’ve let myself go. Seriously. I haven’t gone running in almost 2 years and I feel bloated, huge and unhealthy. I want to get a haircut, jog 5 miles and eat health. Unfortunately this doesn’t happen.
For example, today I told myself I was going to go running. Then I found a pie. So what am I doing at the moment? Eating pie. It’s an easy equation. What’s more enjoyable, exercise or pie? Pie of course. Pie is good and tasty and perhaps the exact opposite of running. That is why pie is good, because it has none of the characteristics of exercise and twice the deliciousness.
I will run. I promised myself. I will do it after I finish the pie. No, “bad Matt, run now.”
Other than that there’s not a whole lot going on. I have a photo shoot on Saturday which I think I’ve already mentioned. I’ve gotten a few ideas for photo shoots and I think this semester will go well. I’m excited. Ok, time to run.

Well, we’ve had a pretty good day here at the Perry ranch. My Clie and I hope that everyone enjoyed themselves and had a wonderful holiday. I know I did. There was roast beef and potatoes and all sorts of delicious things for dinner so I’m sitting contently here at my desk looking for PalmOS software. Tomorrow I’ll probably be going to get some memory sticks but the “after Christmas sales” might scare me into staying home. I don’t do well when I’m forced to shop in “herd” form. That’s what Amazon.com is for.
Oh, to all you handheld owners out there… I need to know some software recommendations. I’m in the dark on this one, it’s a whole other software world. Any suggestions?
Anyway, I hope everyone is enjoying themselves. Merry Christmas to all. G’night.

You know whats cool about sleep deprivation? Nothing. Well, besides a near euphoric state in which nothing really bothers you and you’re not really “awake” but certainly not asleep. Either that or EVERYTHING bothers you and you try to kill the guy at the convience store for not giving you your change fast enough. Point is that I’m rambling mindlessly because I got to sleep from 8am till 10am. Then I woke up, couldn’t sleep because it was sunny, etc etc. Then I went and paid the cable bill. It was $60. Fuck cable. Then I picked up my digital prints at PhotoMasters. They were free. The guys there know me and didn’t feel like charging me. They rock. Now I’m at the photo lab. I’m not awake, but I’m typing, which is odd because I didn’t think you could type while you were sleeping. But I’m making a go of it. Which probably explains the spelling errors. Not that it explains the spelling errors in any of my other posts, but hey, if you’ve got an excuse, you might as well use it. After this I’m going home to get Lauren and coming back downtown to pick up her car. Then I’m formatting a hard drive… again. Fuck my harddrive. Then I’m sleeping. Sleep is good. I need sleep. But that’s ok, it was worth it to help out Lauren. I know she appreciated it and I was glad to help. Yah me! Ok, class now, sleep later, stuff in between.

Well, it’s official. I’ll be leaving for Savannah early Sunday morning. So, because the time table has been moved up a little, today it “prep” day. So much to do, so little time. Already today the car has been registered and at 1pm it’ll get it’s inspection sticker. After that we’re shopping in Nashua for random nessisary things and then I come home and pack all afternoon. I was hoping to hang out with the guys tonight so we’ll see how it goes. I’m packing up non-important stuff tonight and then the computer and clothes tomorrow. Tomorrow night I’ll pack the car and then we’re gone. I also need to remember to email Jason and let him know I’ll be back a little early.
Finally, this damn summer is over. Part of me is very very happy to leave, mainly the part that didn’t find a job or didn’t like being “home” for 3 months. The other half of me is a little sad because I know this will probably be the last summer I spend in Milford. Everyone is moving on with their lives so I guess it’s my turn as well. Chris is going to be on Long Island. Josh will be out on the West Coast, Chip will be in Manchester, Jason N is moving to Indiana. I’m not sure what I’m going to be doing in a years time but I have a strong feeling that I’ll be newly married and looking for a job in New England. That suites me just fine. From then on it’s the “real world” and I’m not sure how I feel about that yet. I know that wherever I end up I’ll be with someone I love, I’m confident about that.
Ok, it’s time to have some lunch and get this show on the road. If I don’t see you guys before I leave, good luck and take care of yourselves. There’s always email. For those of you in Savannah or on your way there, I’ll see you on Monday. Later.

Well, it seems that things have been moved around a bit. Originally, to avoid the holliday weekend traffic, I was going to be leaving for Savannah on Tuesday. That’s changed. We’re now leaving on Sunday… maybe. You see, no one really knows for sure or is willing to give me any actual details. Everyone is in a “we’ll see what happens” state of mind and it’s starting to piss me off. If I’m leaving on Sunday, I need to know now so I can pack. If not, I’ll start packing this weekend. I also need to know if I have a dentist appointment or not. My jaw still hurts very badly and every time I bring it up I get a “not now” response. Well, fuck me, but when would be a good time? This is how my household works and has worked for quite some time. Even today I had to get up at 7am and drive the mini-van to the garage because it has some “issues”. I’m not told what issues it has, how long it’ll be there for, if I’ll need to pick it up, etc. So, my mom took the Matrix, my dad’s working, my brother is downstairs cutting his own hair (don’t ask) and I’m sitting upstairs wondering if I should bother putting my laundry in my dresser or if I should be packing it. I can’t find the boxes I brought stuff home in. I’m hungry, I’m tired and I’m friggin’ pissed off. Arg. I think this is one of those “low blood sugar” type of days. Ok, calming down… I’m better now. I just needed to vent a little. I’m a bit stressed out and so is everyone else. Everything will work out, it always does. Somehow that doesn’t work as well when you’re trying to tell yourself that though. Oh well. I’ve got some laundry to do, then I’ll find some lunch. After that I should probably clean out the Oldsmobile and start packing things that aren’t clothes. Saturday I’ll pack the computer and the clothes and then start packing the car. What fun.
