Well, last nights game fest

Well, last nights game fest wasn’t quite the spectacular event that I had hoped, basically due to the lack of Chip and Jason. But, playing BoxWars with Dave was very fun. After a little CS we switched over to that and beat the box-crap out of each other. In other news, Microsoft won its appeal in court, which in my opinion, is a mixed bag. I do like IE over NS, but that shouldn’t mean that Microsoft can strong arm Sun and Apple into installing IE over NS on all their systems. I also completely disagree with MS’s whole internet-active-web-top-desk-integrated-activation-semi-subcription-thingy-bullshit-battleplan. I mean, you can’t force people to conform to a subscription-ish system and integrate the web into their desktop without them wanting it. Maybe I’m living in a bubble, but I don’t want the web IN my desktop. I’ve turned off “active-desktop” since it was introduced into Win98. I also don’t want to have to call MS every time I install some new hardware and my hardware key changes. When I use software, including operating systems, and I’ve paid for it, NO ONE is going to be in control of it except for me. This would be giving control back to companies almost in a subscription sort of way. All this in exchange for some conveniences, like being able to log onto someone else’s computer and have all your shortcuts, favorites, documents etc. I don’t like the trade. My documents should never be “on file” somewhere. Ok, enough MS ranting for today, I’m sure Chris will smack me around and tell me all the good reasons for some of this tonight or tomorrow. At any rate, I’ve got to run some errands and drop my dad off at a baseball game. Later.

Woot, Woot, Woot! Guess what

Woot, Woot, Woot! Guess what tonight is? Yet, CS FEST!!! Hells ya. I get to have some kick ass chicken (my own recepie) on the grill then head over and play CS with the boys until dawn. Feels good to be back. Later.

As for today, I think

As for today, I think I’m going to go price out how much getting B&W film done at CameraLand will be, maybe grab some lunch and relax a little. Chris, if you’d like to go to EB to see if D2 is in yet, gimme a ring. Ok, I’m off. Later.

Well, yesterday was work. Yah.

Well, yesterday was work. Yah. I had a full day (1-10) but I wanted to get there a little early because I knew they wouldn’t have me in the computer yet. I was right, I got there and my password and logon didn’t work, so that took a few minutes of straitening out. After that Brent and I pretty much hung out for the rest of the afternoon. It’s usually dead on a Tuesday, but yesterday was very dead. I got the grand tour, where everything is kept, this stores shelf arrangments and closing stuff, which I was glad for since it was completely different from Nashua. Still a piece of cake though. After that we discussed various ideas for video games and that we should try to make a Half-Life mod called “Pimp’n’Hoes” or “Crib-Style”. Basically is was an excuse to called each other “be-otch” and “sucka!” for an hour or two. After that my other co-workers for the night wondered in. First there was Ash (or Ashley as more people call him secretly) who was, well, an idiot to put it nicely. Basically hes just rude to customers and slow to get things done. Rude only because he thinks its ok and that he’s above customers, slow because he hasn’t caught on to store functions yet. Then came in Todd. Todd seems pretty cool, he wants to go to school for art, which I was able to relate to him about since, obviously, its something I know a little bit about. He then spent the rest of the night picking up after Ash and complaining about what an idiot he is. It was rather funny. Then 9 rolled around and we started to close the store. Ash was running the register, which didn’t seem like the greatest idea, but he got it counted down fairly quickly. Me and Todd picked up the rest of the store and so when 9:30 rolled around we were able to scoot right out of there. That was pretty much it. Later.

Wow, how borring is my

Wow, how borring is my life. I just took a run, for FUN! Wow, but seriously, I don’t think I can complain (though I will). I have a roof over my head, a computer to sit at, friends, family, a wonderful girlfriend. What else can one ask for? I don’t have to complain about not having love, I don’t have to complain about my job (I like it), I don’t have to complain about my career choice, school. etc. I’m left with complaining about bad movies, the crap on tv, people at the mall, the lack of parking when you need it, that sort of mindless jibberish. I can complain about money, but what good is that. I don’t have it, end of story. Who’s fault is that but mine? I just wish there was something to do. Concerts, events… wait, no, those cost money. Something to artisticly inspire me to write or take photos… wait, no, this is Milford. Whats a boy to do? Well, at least I’ve got a journal, that’ll suck up 15 minutes of time, then some web browsing to other peoples mindless ranting I suppose, followed by dinner, a nap, then perhaps a late night cup of coffee with a friend. Who knows. I just wish there was some excitement around here (although I’ll probably regret saying that). At least I’ve got work tomorrow, that’ll keep me busy for a little while. I’m going to go find something to do. Later.
