I wanna mix/remix something very very badly. But, since it’s 12:30, I figure the neighbors wouldn’t appreciate that. Arg. I really really want to crank out the tunes and mix some tracks together but I guess I’ll have to wait until tomorrow. No one is around durring the day, this community is usually empty… but, wait, it’ll be Sunday. Crap. Oh well, I guess the neighbor will have to put up with some techno tomorrow (today). But until then, I’ll have to be content with some Counter-Strike until the caffine wares off and I go to bed… hehe, de_dust, here I come. (inside joke: don’t hurt your head on that one). Later.

Hey there. I just thought I’d share the welth with my buddies. I just finished up my first set of skins for a nifty little program called SkinMem. I whipped up 4 skins, all fairly simple but very very clean. I can’t stand sloppy skins. I would rather make 4 simple and good looking ones than 10 shitty ones. I don’t like those “I found a picture of a supermodel and stuck it in the background” type of skins either. It completely defeates the purpose. You guys know what I’m talking about right? At any rate, SkinMem is pretty slick, it’s a real time system resourse monitor, kind of like SysMeter only much simpler and easier to skin. Anyway, I was bored so I whipped out Photoshop and came up with these four. If you like’em, lemme know. Or if you have any suggestions, lemme know about them too. Ok, you can get the program here. And you can get the skins here. The installation is simple. Just unzip the files into the skins directory thats inside of the main SkinMem directory. All that is explained in the zip as well. Feedback is welcome. Enjoy.

So far my day has been fairly borring. I got up late, cooked lunch, Pete wondered off to work around 4, Nagle and Kimberly are off at a res-life retreat for the weekend and I’m not sure what the boys over at Andy and Jeff’s are up to. Which leaves me here with my Ben & Jerry’s, and thats fine by me. I’m going to go put on my “Clubbed Out” cd, sit on the couch and watch whatever is on the Discovery Channel. Ah, what a life. Monday I’m going to start looking for a job, I’m going to need it to take care of my need for “spending money”. We’ll see what turns up. Later.

Random: I think I finally figured out what the link to my “Wish List” at Amazon.com is. It’s a huge pain in the ass since you’re always logged in as yourself and so the links are different. Anyway, this should be it. If it’s not, I’ll figure it out eventually. Ok, lemme know if that actually works. Later.

Why am I awake at 3am? Someone tell me. I haven’t had large amounts of caffine (the usually excuse) and I’m very tired. Yet I sit here awake. Odd. Anyway, I just got back from seeing Jay & Silent Bob with the gang. It was kinda fun to get everyone out and doing something.
The evening started with Nagle calling to make sure I was still “a go” for tonight festivities. Kimberly drove over, with Nagle, Emily and Sarah, and picked me up around 9:45. We drove to the movie theatre and met Andy, Sean and Jeff before buying tickets and going in. It was about 2 minutes until 10:00, the time the movie was supposed to start. We walked in and the movie was already 20 minutes in. We all looked at our watches and most of them still said it wasn’t 10 yet. We found the manager. We asked for our money back since no one had seen it besides Nagle and myself and they didn’t want to have missed the first few minutes. If it had been us that were late, we would have let it go, but since they obviously started it very early, we wanted refunds. After that Sean and Emily said they were hungry and Andy suggested Bennigans.
Now, I really don’t like Bennigans that much, I’ve found the service to be crappy and the food usually cold. But since its Andy’s favorite place, we of course had to go. As we walked in, the hostess says she doesn’t have any place for them to seat 8 people and that we’d have to wait. After some convincing, Andy somehow talked his way into getting them to take food orders before we even sat down. Only 3 of us were actually getting food, so the fuss over where 8 people should sit was kind of a moot point. Oh well. After a few minutes, the group of us that wasn’t eating left to go catch the 12:00 movie and the rest of them would have to catch up.
This time the movie started on time and luckily everyone made it. From the amount of laughing everyone was doing I’m guessing everyone liked it. Afterwards I headed back to my place and Jeff came along to visit. He had never seen the new digs. When I got to my front door and opened it, I realized that Pete had chained the door. Not good. Jeff and I tried for a few minutes to reach around and open it, ultimatly failing. A few quick door-bell rings later and my roommate was dragged out of bed to unlock the door. I gave Jeff the dime tour, grabbed something to drink and drove him home. Now I’m here. Sitting in front of the keyboard, not able to sleep. Damn my constantly thinking mind. Ok, I guess it’s time to try sleep again. Later.

Well, I went down and paid my tuition balance today. Luckily I was able to put in on my credit card so it wouldn’t come strait out of my bank account. That way the loans should be there in time for the monthly credit card bill and I can even everything out. As I was paying, I noticed a small memo off to the side. It mentioned something about direct deposit and so I asked. Apparently, SCAD has finally come into the 21st century. For two years, whenever I had a credit in my account (extra $), I had to walk down to the Bursars office, request a refund check, wait a week, go pick it up, sign it, mail it over-night to my parents and they could deposit it for me. Finally, this tedious practice is over. Now I can simply call on the phone, request my balance, and request a refund. In a few day it will appear in my account. Great!
Besides that stuff, I think my second hard drive is failing. After a frightening “blue screen” this morning, my machine rebooted with no trace of it’s second hard drive. I paniced, opened up the machine, played around, played with the BIOS and luckily it came back. I guess it just forgot I had one. Either way, it’s about time to reformat it anyway. I’m gonna back up my stuff this afternoon and if it does it again I can just format it.
I guess at some point today, Kimberly want to go see Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Nagle offered to take her and invited my along as well. I usually don’t see movies more than once in the theater due to the prices, but this one is worth it. Sure to won’t win any awards and some of the acting is pretty cheesy (Will Ferrell) but it’s a “fun” movie and I definatly enjoyed it the first time around.
I also got my package from JCPenny today. I had ordered a set of sheets since I only had only one set to begin with. I found a fairly inexpensive set labeled “Sheridan Seamless Satin Sheet Set”. It was on sale for only $40. Which, if you think about it, is really good for both Satin and a set of Full sheets. Well, when I opened the package I realized why they were on sale, they were a Satin & Polyester blend. They’re still very nice, but they’re not as “smooth” as I was hoping for. Still, they’ll make my very comfortable bed even better than just plain old cotton sheets. Ok, it’s lunch time and I hear Hot Pockets calling my name. Later.
