Geek question

Anyone think that upgrading my processor to the XP 2800+ would be worth it? Or should I just wait until next year and build a new box? It’s only $99 and then I think I’d be able to hold out for another year or two. Opinions?

    also, apparently, with a bios update, the a7n8x will support a 400mhz FSB. which means I could get the “nice” 2800+ with the Barton core instead of the older 2800 with the TBred core.

    What do you have for a CPU currently? That kindof makes a difference in my judgement of upgrading or not.

    I don’t think you’d see a massive improvement in much of anything with just a CPU upgrade. Usually RAM, HD, or GPU are the bottlenecks these days.

    yup, very broke. see, I wouldn’t ACTUALLY buy anything, I just like to torture myself with things I can’t have. 🙂
